Who runs this site

Virtual Deadwood is run by Erik Thomson, a Deadwood local, and is a Virtual Merlin, Inc. property. Most of the downtown photos on this site are Erik's own.

Who we are not

We are not the City of Deadwood, the Deadwood Chamber of Commerce, or any business listed here. Advertising isn't open yet. When it is, paid placements will be clearly labeled.

How we check things

• Listings, schedules, and prices are checked against official sources, such as a business's own site, the city, the Chamber, and state and federal agencies.
• When we can't confirm something, we say so. You'll see "Details not yet confirmed" or "Call to confirm" instead of a guess.
• History pages list their sources, and they separate the record from the legend.
• Illustrations made with AI are labeled, and the credits page lists where our other images come from.

Hours and prices change, especially in a town this seasonal, so please confirm with each business before you go.
